I’ve been an admirer of Bri’s from afar for a few years now. Her wedding was photographed by a friend of mine and I devoured those photos being so pumped about how beautiful her dress, hair, and entire day was. She moved to NY for a bit and is now back in Kansas City. I could not be more excited.
Q3 of last year, I ran a giveaway for a complete boudoir session experience over on Instagram and some more goodies over on Instagram to help me get to that final stretch of 10 thousand followers. Why? For that coveted “swipe up” feature (RIP). Now, it doesn’t matter how many followers you have, but I still reached a huge milestone for my business that I am proud of and it meant it was my turn to photograph Brianne.
I was really worried about seeing myself in pictures and going into a negative, spiraling judgement place. BUT it did the opposite and I’m super thankful for that.
Well, I won the giveaway, BUT planned on booking a session prior to entering the giveaway. The fact that there are so many different bodies and folks drew me in.
How present and comfortable the experience was. It wasn’t like I was totally naked in front of people I’d just met.
Get naked the minute you’re able to because just “ripping off the bandaid” helps you throughout the rest of the process.
