We’ve all seen the “dudeoir” sessions. The ones where a man with a belly does “silly” poses as a way to mock or make light of boudoir because it’s funny that men (or masculine presenting folks) would ever want to be celebrated in the same way women generally are. Yeah, I didn’t want to do that.
A while ago, I decided another way to walk the walk and talk the talk would be to find out a way to integrate these people into my business. So I asked my friend if I could borrow his husband for a session and even asked him to coach me through it. Because my friend is an incredibly talented photographer who does the damn thing with all kinds of men. You can find his work here.
So next time you hear someone ask if there’s someone out there who photographs men in Kansas City that are more than a piece of wheat in someone’s mouth with a belly, let them know that Good Bodies definitely does. Because every body is a good fuckin’ body.
