Kimberly is a precious cinnamon roll. They have been coming to my studio for the past 3-ish years. I’ve photographed them, their wife, and the two of them together on two different occasions. They have quickly become my favorite person to photograph and to top it all off? They are the Moonspell Studios Boudoir Photographer.

Kimberly focuses on luxury boudoir down in the west bottoms. Their studio is dark and witchy and gorgeous and perfect if you’re looking to get boudoir photos that don’t look like everyone else’s. They’re also sex-worker positive studio! I was going to dip my toes into that space and then realized how wonderful Kimberly is at it and decided that space does not need me.

That is how talented they are.

Why did you choose Good Bodies for your session?

I love the entire Good Bodies experience so it’s a really easy choice. Like obviously your work is amazing but also just your energy is the best. From the very first session you’ve never used weird pet names that other photographers have and there has never been any of the awkwardness that comes with most social interactions.

What was your favorite part about your session?

Ok this is the hard question. The pose guidance is amazing and I looked amazing even with my hip being rude. Then there’s the respect and friendliness that you and all of your assistants have shown me. Honestly this session was the longest amount of time I’ve gone not being misgendered since coming out as non-binary and that is obviously my favorite thing ever.

Do you have any advice for other people looking to book a session?

Stretch before you head to the studio lol. Some of those poses are basically yoga. Also make a date night for after your session because that makeup is gonna be absolute perfection!
