I wasn’t sure about my ability to pose (both body and facial expressions). But I decided to just trust Tay and myself and stay open and engaged in the process.
I had been observing the account on Instagram for a while (over a year) and appreciated Tay’s clear commitment to a diverse clientele (and her honesty and humor).
I really enjoyed getting creative with my outfits, mixing things I’d brought with things from her client closet, and feeling my strength and sensuality unfold before the camera.
Just do it. Seriously. If you’re already considering it, then what are you waiting for?
I valued the commitment I showed to myself by booking a session. And I booked it far enough in advance that I could prepare for it. For me, preparation wasn’t anything drastic. I simply wanted to have my mind and body in a quiet, confident place. Just resting was the best preparation, to make sure my energy was healthy. And I got a neutral mani-pedi to polish things off. (Punny, but seriously, I wanted my hands and feet to look as fabulous as the hair and makeup.)
