KC Make-Up Artist | Bailey Rose

I have had the opportunity to work with some incredible KC make-up artists in my day. I’m very lucky that working with our head artist, (Madee) has lead me a lot of ways as well. It’s her that lead Bailey my way for the first time. She came in and rocked her craft even as a last minute addition and having never worked for/with me before. She blended in with the team so damn easy.

So when she reached out because she was ready to celebrate her body with her own session, I was absolutely overjoyed. I’ll let her words take it from here, but not before I add that if you come in for a session, Bailey is now an artist you can choose for your day! You can see her work here.

What were you nervous about coming into your session?

I honestly was not nervous! Having followed your work for a long time and having been in boudoir environments before, I was excited to get to be in your space in a different capacity.

Why did you choose Good Bodies?

I absolutely love the Good Bodies portfolio! I wanted to get photos in an environment where I knew my body and my curves would be celebrated and not hidden. I have done a lot of work to love the skin I am in and I was confident Good Bodies would provide a space for where I am with confidence!

What was your favorite part about your session?

I can’t say enough positive things about it! From start to finish, everything was perfect. Madee did an amazing job with my hair and makeup, and I felt beautiful and confident. The client closet was incredible and had so many options that fit me perfectly. I loved that Tayanna used my playlist; having my music created a fun and relaxing atmosphere, and the overall vibe of the studio was fantastic.

What stood out to me the most was the positivity and encouragement from Tayanna. She made me feel comfortable and empowered throughout the entire shoot. I left feeling like a goddess and with a renewed sense of self-confidence. I would highly recommend this boudoir experience to anyone looking to treat themselves to a day of pampering and self-love.

What advice do you have for someone who wants to book their own session?

If you’re thinking about booking a boudoir session, do it. You will NOT regret it!! Often times, the hardest part is showing up to the session… once you are there, everything will fall into place.

Good Bodies provides an excellent pre-session questionnaire to help communicate before the shoot to discuss your vision and preferences, as well as any concerns you may have. This helps them to tailor the session to your needs and ensure that you feel comfortable and confident.

When it comes to wardrobe, bring pieces that make you feel sexy and confident, but don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. Good Bodies has an excellent client closet with a variety of options, so take advantage of that as well.

Lastly, trust your photographer and enjoy the experience. A boudoir session can be a transformative and empowering experience, and the more you relax and let go, the better the results will be.

Overall, remember that a boudoir session is all about celebrating your body and embracing your beauty. With Good Bodies, you’re sure to have a wonderful experience that you’ll treasure for years to come.
